Have you always wanted to know absolutely everything? Who doesn't, right? Are you tired of wading through endless text in a Wikipedia entry, only to find that what you're looking for isn't there or has been edited out by someone? Who has time for that? If you need answers, and you need them now, WolframAlpha is almost always your best bet, and it's one of the most useful apps you could ever purchase.
Maybe you've heard of it before; maybe you thought it was a great idea but didn't want to shell out the $49.99 or $19.99 it used to cost (we aren't joking about those prices). If you did purchase it for such an obscene amount, act fast to get a full refund. If you haven't, this is an insane price for what amounts to essentially the current version of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (it even has an entry for the Babel fish).

Go ahead...we know you want to click "More digits."
The presentation is pretty basic, but tilting horizontally gives you quick access to all the various categories of knowledge, including examples of what you might search for. Type in a term to get a whole slew of generalized information, or ask a question if you want to narrow your results. The results are easy to read and divided logically to help you sort through the data.
Although it's most likely possible to stump it, WolframAlpha seems to be the best database of knowledge we've ever encountered. Whether you want to solve a problem or end an argument (you can easily e-mail the results to a friend or post on Twitter to share your new-found knowledge with the rest of the world), you'll be smarter for having combed through its databases. And with its new astronomically low price, you have no excuse to not pick this up.
