April was the first month we had an iPad in hand, and we figured you might need some help picking a few launch titles to show off your new system. This was a tough decision for us, but even though Plants vs Zombies was our iPhone Game of the Month in February, we're giving the iPad version our iPad Game of the Month award for April as well.

Plants vs Zombies HD is a defense game where you plant Little Shop of Horror saplings to defend against a goofy zombie invasion. If you have already played Plants vs Zombies on the PC or Mac, you may not need to buy this game again. But if all you've played is the iPhone version, consider upgrading.
Survival and challenge modes extend the life of this title by a few hours, and the graphics and animation are stunning on the bigger screen. If you can only buy just one iPad game, make it this one.

Our runner-up for iPad Game of the Month is Mirror's Edge for iPad, a unique title from EA Mobile that combines twitch-reaction responsiveness with platforming prowess. You have to swipe up and down to navigate a high-speed runner through a gleaming city, kicking guards in the face and wall-running across oppressive billboards. It looks and plays beautifully.
This was a great launch month for the iPad, and we can also recommend you buy any of these Must Have iPad games: Diner Dash: Grilling Green, Amazon: Hidden Expedition, Pinball HD, Warpgate HD, Soosiz HD, Civilization Revolution for iPad, Labyrinth 2 HD, Scrabble for iPad, Flight Control HD, and Real Racing HD. In addition, you should download these quality freemium games: Godfinger for iPad, Tap Tap Radiation, and Pocket Legends.
Congratulations to Popcap and EA Mobile for creating the two best iPad games this month.

This will definitely be the first game I get when my iPad is delivered.
