It's been a busy week at Padvance, with lots of news and reviews that we hope have helped make your iPad experience more rewarding. As we head off into the weekend, we want to leave you with an interesting keyboard concept that we think would make a great addition to the iPhone OS.

It's only a concept, but this could be really useful.
Scott Robbin whipped up this quick mock-up of what it might be like if the iPad's virtual keyboard, were split in half when in landscape mode, allowing you to comfortably type with just your thumbs, much as many of us have become accustomed to with the iPhone.
We don't think it would be wise or reasonable to ditch the current landscape setup of a full keyboard, but we would certainly welcome this as an option that could be chosen in the system settings. For certain apps, such as IM clients, Twitter, and the like, it'd be much easier to just thumb our way through messages rather than propping up for full-fledged typing. We'd love to see someone give something like this a try in an app, just to test the waters.
Have a great weekend, and we'll see you Monday with plenty of new features and app reviews!

That... could work. Really, really well. I just played it out with my fingers, and I think it would work.
Me too. I am hoping Apple pays attention to stuff like this...
Now I really wish that Apple allowed custom keyboards.
