First Look: Facebook for iPad

The official Facebook app for iPad is finally out! Padvance will have a full review in a couple of days. For now, check out these screens and initial impressions.

I've only played around with the app for 20 minutes or so, but I'm impressed with its smoothness. Navigation is easy and intuitive. Browsing friends' pictures is fantastic on the iPad. The "Nearby" tab is a slick addition that lets you view your checked-in friends on a map in addition to a list view -- perfect for voyeurs and stalkers!The mobile version of Facebook is nice, but having an app that's fully optimized for the iPad's resolution and the touch experience is brilliant.
