Mike Capps, the president of Epic Games, took the stage this morning at Apple's press event to announce Project Sword, Epic's first title for iOS. Project Sword will be an action RPG that runs on the Unreal Engine, which powers loads of games across a number of consoles, including Epic's Gears of War series.

Project Sword will also use Apple's GameCenter to connect you to your buddies and to deliver one-on-one sword fighting challenges. We don't have many details about the rest of the game now, but the graphics look phenomenal, and we're excited to get our hands on it. Project Sword will be available for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad this holiday season.

I'm deff in for one!
makes all my other iphone games look lame.
if this doesn't work on 2G devices (iphone 3g or ipod touch 2g) then i hate the devs. come on! we need unreal on the slightly older devices!
I second you, brah. I have an iPod Touch 2G and I'm begging the devs to please make this work on older devices.
Well the graphics/screen is rubbish on the iPhone 3g compared to the iPhone 4. So the games awesome graphics will be unjustified on an iPhone 3g and the 2nd gen ipods
Dont stop progress with your f*cking ild devices, just buy a new one. If u allways will ask to make game running on you old device devs shold cus graphics on new devices.
Lol. Y U MAD THO?
They really need to make this for iPod touch2g
i think the engine requires OpenGL 2.0 ES to work which the 2g does not have so that ain't possible to work on your devices... better buy an iPod touch 4
